The Dante Alighieri Society, a charity founded in 1889 and now a third sector organisation with legal personality, is a non-profit social association that promotes the Italian language and culture throughout the world. Its network in more than 80 countries around the world is powered by men and women, children and adults, Italians and foreigners who love Italy and all of its institutions, from language to culture, from history to art, from cuisine to fashion, and from design to lifestyle.

Andrea Riccardi is a historian of the contemporary world and of Christianity. He has been a lecturer at the University of Bari, la Sapienza and Terza University of Rome. Founder of the Community of Sant'Egidio and President of the Dante Alighieri Society since 2015.

Dante Alighieri Lab is a limited liability company, with the sole shareholder being the Dante Alighieri Society, which operates, as its agent, in the management of services, institutional relations and activities for the promotion of culture and the promotion of the Italian language worldwide.
The company takes care of the management of Dante.global, the digital platform of the Italian language and culture of the Dante Alighieri Society, and has among its aims the opening of branches abroad, in particular schools.
